Outsource Fleet Services is a financially stable and growing business that was established in 1992. Today we service many customers in five States. We currently have an opening at our Bedford Park location for a Class A diesel mechanic. This is an advanced skill level position.
Preferred Qualifications:• Ability to understand oral and written communication. • Utilize service manuals, technical bulletins and various written directives. • ASE certified in advance electrical diagnosis and repair. • Air conditioning certification. • Certified brake inspector. • Qualified FHWA inspector. • Factory trained / certified in engine diagnostic software. • CDL Requirements:• Must be able to pass a physical. • Must have valid drivers license with acceptable driving record. • Own necessary basic tools. • Ability to diagnose and repair various systems associated with class 6,7,& 8 trucks and diesel engines using basic tools, measuring instruments, and diagnostic computer software. • Perform all work in a safe manner. • Understand and follow operating instructions for various tools and equipment. • Follow good housekeeping standards. • Assist in a variety of shop operations such as inventory control and customer interface. • Assist other Technicians. • Perform basic welding and cutting. • Understand and follow the minimum periodic inspection standards listed in the FMCSR. • Perform repairs in an efficient and timely manner in order to meet customer expectations.
